Description
Weatherization 101 is a 6-week job skills training and career placement program for adults (age 18 and over) with barriers to employment. Weatherization 101 combines technical training based on the Department of Energy's Weatherization Installer/Technician curriculum with on-the-job training through community based weatherization projects. Students also participate in Career Development courses, through which they develop resumes, and practice interviewing and other job seeking and retention skills. For the final 2 weeks of the course, students are placed with employers in the field for work-based learning. At the completion of the course, ReSOURCE places students in employment and provides follow up services for a period of 1 year after graduation.
