This program contains training in professionalism designed with input from employers and professionals in the field of allied health. Courses in this program include topics such as medical office procedures, Microsoft Office basics, human anatomy and medical terminology, insurance billing and coding essentials and professionalism in allied health. Program objectives are to discuss patient scheduling and related tasks, explain intake procedures, explain revenue cycle and the process of medical billing in order to submit claims forms, ensure HIPAA, OSHA, and CMS compliance as applicable to protected health information, safety, claim submission, and fraud prevention.
